Font size and contrast ratios
We would like to point out that you can adjust the font size and contrast ratios yourself using certain keyboard shortcuts:
Increase font size: Ctrl and +
Decrease font size: Ctrl and -
Contrast: Alt, Shift and Print Screen
Our site does not include a font size adjustment feature, as this function is now built into all common browsers and has therefore become more or less redundant. Here, we will briefly explain how to use a browser’s built-in font size adjustment feature.
First things first: it’s very simple and works the same way in all browsers – we’ve taken the following browsers into account:
- Mozilla Firefox 3.6.6 and later
- Opera 10.60 and later
- Apple Safari 5.0 and later
- Google Chrome 5.0 and later
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and later
If you try this function using Ctrl + or Ctrl -, you may notice that the graphics and images on the webpage are also enlarged, which can sometimes make them look pixelated. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you will find the ‘Zoom Text Only’ option under ‘View’ – ‘Zoom’. If you enable this option, the images will remain at their original size and only the font size will change.
To improve the contrast ratio, click the contrast icon.
